This publication is the result of my journey through Egypt in 2008 and 2009 and whilst I am not a professional photographer, the sites I visited inspired me to capture their majesty. Thus my photographic journey is a unique one, viewed through the eyes of an aspiring Egyptologist discovering Egypt for the very first time. It is my wish that this publication will convey my visual memories of the land that I, much like the Ancient Egyptians, saw befittingly as ‘The Beloved Land’.
